EMPX Bridge: Native Bridging and Cross-Chain Swaps

Introduction

EMPX, a leading DeFi hub, is revolutionizing cross-chain interoperability by offering both native bridging and cross-chain swaps within its ecosystem. Through a strategic partnership with Hyperlane, RUBIC and Rango Exchange, EMPX provides a secure and efficient native bridge and cross chain swaps for seamless Token/Value transfers across blockchain networks. EMPX plans to collaborate with more providers to enable robust cross-chain swaps, giving users flexible options for interacting with multiple chains.

The bridge section of the EMPX DApp (www.empseal.xyz) is divided into two key subsections: Cross-Chain Swaps and Native Bridge, each designed to cater to different user needs:

  • Cross-Chain Swaps This subsection connects users to cross-chain swaps. This Section allows users to swap into or out of more than 30 blockchains. Leveraging partnerships with Rubic, Rango Exchange, and other upcoming providers. By integrating these trusted platforms, EMPX enables users to seamlessly swap tokens across various blockchain networks, offering flexibility, competitive rates, and access to deep liquidity pools. In a simplified way all providers here when changing blockchain facilitate a cross chain swap. Example If a user has 1 ETH on ETH mainnet and wants to bridge into Polygon to buy USDC. The flow here would take 1 ETH ,sell that on ETH mainnet and take the equal quoted value to buy USDC on polygon. This does not lock or reduce supply of ETH on ETH mainnet. Depending on providers ,fees may vary.

Cross Chain Partners : RUBIC , Rango Exchange ( More partnership announcements coming soon)

  • Native Bridge The Native Bridge subsection connects users to EMPX’s native bridging solution, powered by Hyperlane. This marks PulseChain’s first L1 and L2 bridge, enabling secure and direct token transfers between PulseChain, Base, and Sei in its pilot expansion. By locking tokens on PulseChain in a secured verified mailbox contract and minting collateralized synthetic tokens on the destination chain, EMPX ensures a 1:1 peg, enhanced security, and reduced reliance on external liquidity, providing a robust alternative to traditional cross-chain swaps. A cost effective and scalable approach to interoperability.

This dual approach empowers users and protocols to choose the best method for their cross-chain needs, whether seeking the speed and flexibility of swaps or the security and scalability of native bridging. As EMPX continues to expand, we are committed to enhancing both offerings, connecting more ecosystems, and driving interoperability across the DeFi landscape.

Comparison: EMPX Bridge vs. Third-Party Cross-Chain Swaps

EMPX’s bridging approach offers a choice that may appeal to all users:

  • EMPX Bridge (Locking and Minting Collateralized Tokens)

    • Tokens are locked on PulseChain, and collateralized synthetic tokens are minted on Base or Sei, ensuring a 1:1 peg.

    • Eliminates reliance on external liquidity pools, reducing counterparty risk and slippage.

    • Provides direct control over the bridging process, with enhanced security through ISMs and multi-signature verification.

    • Ideal for users seeking long-term interoperability and exposure to new ecosystems without losing asset ownership.

  • Third-Party Cross-Chain Swaps

    • Tokens are swapped across chains using liquidity pools, which may result in slippage, higher fees, and exposure to liquidity risks.

    • Relies on third-party providers for routing and execution, potentially introducing additional points of failure.

    • Better suited for one-time, hard to reach chains , quick swaps but less efficient for users and protocols seeking seamless trading and interoperability to multiple chains.
